چکیده
Three-dimensional (3D) printing has been employed as a potentially useful aid for the guidance of complex surgical procedures in recent years. Many clinical practitioners have preliminarily investigated its effect on improving the patients’ outcomes. As one of developing country, China has put forward a series of national plans to advance the development of this relatively new field. In this perspective article, we briefly summarize and discuss the current status and future challenges of cardiovascular three-dimensional printing

Three-dimensional printing in cardiology: Current applications and future challenges.
Three-dimensional (3D) printing has attracted a huge interest in recent years. Broadly speaking, it refers to the technology which converts a predesigned virtual model to a touchable object. In clinical medicine, it usually converts a series of two-dimensional medical images acquired through computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging or 3D echocardiography into a physical model. Medical 3D...

Three-dimensional (3D) printing technology has revolutionized tissue engineering field because of its excellent potential of accurately positioning cell-laden constructs. One of the main challenges in the formation of functional engineered tissues is the lack of an efficient and extensive network of microvessels to support cell viability. By printing vascular cells and appropriate biomaterials,...
